Bytes Yatra needed an identity for a Nepali blogging platform spanning travel, tech, and culture — one brand that could hold very different kinds of content together.

Overview

Bytes Yatra is a Nepali blogging platform covering a diverse range of topics including travel, technology, and local culture. The brand needed to capture the spirit of exploration — both across Nepal's landscapes and through the digital world.

Ideation

Early sketches explored symbols that could bridge exploration and technology at once — compass needles reshaped into pixel-like forms, and pin-drop marks abstracted into simple geometric shapes. A range of warm, earthy tones was tested against cooler digital blues before landing on a palette that could flex between a travel diary entry and a tech explainer without feeling disjointed.
